## What is Kavach?

Kavach Vaults Pty Ltd is developing Australia's suburban vault network: secure storage and safe deposit boxes in suburban Sydney and Melbourne, close to where families live. Kavach is not self-storage. It is purpose-built vault infrastructure for jewellery, precious metals, legal documents, heirlooms and other irreplaceable valuables. No facility is open yet.

## Why Kavach exists (bank safe deposit box context)

Bank safe-custody availability in Australia has contracted and varies by provider and by branch. Several major banks have closed or wound back safe deposit services, and most remaining facilities sit in city centres. For households in growth suburbs, that means a trip into the CBD during weekday hours. Kavach is being built to close that gap with suburban vaults and biometric-led access.

## Security & differentiation

- Biometric-led access control at entry; only you can authorise access to your box
- Access uses biometric verification together with a personal four-digit PIN. Environmental controls for the vault will be confirmed before opening.
- AI-assisted surveillance is planned for the Kavach network; at launch, monitoring is professionally staffed with back-to-base alarms
- Automated retrieval: boxes are moved by machine, not carried by hand
- Enclosed access booths; no Kavach staff member handles your box
- Tamper-evident records of every access event
- Suburban locations rather than city centres
